With personal experience and as a certified Carolyn Costin Institute Eating Disorder Recovery Coach, I support your day-to-day aspects of recovery alongside your treatment team, helping you to rebuild a life beyond an eating disorder. I take an individualised, practical, and empowering approach, meeting you where you are in your process.
I suffered from an eating disorder for over 10 years and know how hard every minute of every day is. I have found my freedom and there is hope for a fulfilling and purposeful life beyond the chains of an eating disorder. It takes work and there are ups and downs, but it is possible! I cannot imagine ever going back and am now passionate in helping other people to recover.

Consistent support is a vital component and tool of your recovery and I am available outside of coaching session times as and when you need it to stay on track, be accountable, and be guided into making the healthy-self decisions in the moment instead of the eating-disorder ones.
My work is focused on you and what you need on a one-to-one basis. Recovery is not always a linear process and that is ok- I will work with you wherever you find yourself as you navigate through your journey.

Recovery coaching focuses on the how’s and the here and now aspects of your recovery and we focus on building skills that will help you to challenge and overcome eating disorder behaviours. I am also your go to person for in the moment day to day struggles
• Setting and implementing goals (I will guide you) for changing eating-disorder behaviours and challenging food rules
• Strengthening and using your “healthy self” instead of the “eating-disorder self”
• Learning and practicing new ways to cope with thoughts and feelings instead of turning to food and behaviours
• Developing skills for lasting behaviour change
• Working on motivation, patience, and hope
• Understanding and overcoming obstacles in your recovery
• Building a meaningful and purposeful life
• Challenging eating disorder behaviours in a planned and supportive way (e.g meal outings and challenges)
I also offer practical hands-on sessions when it comes to implementing your goals with food and behaviours. These includes:
• meal and snack outings (which can be done in person or virtually),
• clothes and grocery shopping
I work in collaboration with your treatment team (such as a dietitian or therapist) and will communicate with them regularly.
No one’s recovery process is the same and no one’s relationship with their body and food is the same. I know that the recovery journey is challenging, but I also know that there is freedom and believe that you can have it too! I provide a compassionate, non-judgemental, safe-environment both during and outside of sessions.

"The person can accept his or her natural body size and shape and no longer has a self-destructive or unnatural relationship with food or exercise. When you are recovered, you do not use eating disorder behaviors to deal with, distract from, or cope with other problems. When recovered, you will not compromise your health or betray your soul to look a certain way, wear a certain size or reach a certain number on the scale.”– Carolyn Costin
